Lever Style Executive Chairman Stanley Szeto spoke about the future of automation at International Apparel Federation's World Fashion Convention in Maastricht, the Netherlands, on October 10, 2018.

Stanley made the case that automation has provided only incremental benefits up to now, but revolutionary advances are on the horizon. He spoke about how sewing automation will encourage the on-shoring of apparel manufacturing, and how 3D printing will one day eliminate manufacturing altogether, as consumers just print out their apparel purchases at home. He also touched on how tools such as virtual sampling will help reduce time and costs.
